MGB at Sunrise, Mt. Rainier, Washington, USA

Mt. Rainier National Park is 369 square mile Washington state reserve southeast of Seattle. Sunrise (6,400 feet high) is the highest point in the park, reachable by vehicle. We drove our 1963 MGB up to Sunrise in July this year. We had to stop and take in the scenery and capture this photograph. Isn’t this a beautiful landscape!?!?

Sunset, Mount St. Helens, Washington, USA

Sunset, Mount St. Helens, Washington, USA

I captured this great photo of Mount St. Helens, Washington USA at sunset!  When I took this picture, the wind was blowing and it was bitter cold – I could hardly move my fingers!!  My amazing husband helped anchor down my tripod to keep it from moving.  And at just the right moment, I was able to capture the light at the peak during the final seconds at sunset.  Isn’t this a beautiful landscape!?!?

Sunrise, Mt. Rainier, Washington – Up Close!

Sunrise, Mount Rainier, Washington, USA

Sunrise, Mt. Rainier, Washington, USA has an elevation of 6,400 feet, and is the highest point that can be reached by vehicles at Mount Rainier National Park.  We were fortunate to drive up, on a beautiful sunny day, just before the main highway was closed for the winter.  Although I was totally scared to death because I am afraid of heights, I held my breath and stood high on a stone wall with my trusty tripod.  Luckily my husband also held onto me tight so I wouldn’t fall!  I was able to catch this amazing shot. Isn’t this an incredible … Read more

Wave crash, Depoe Bay, Oregon, USA

My wonderful husband Skip is an amazing film photographer and is just revisiting photography through the digital world. While we were in Depoe Bay, Oregon (USA), he captured this excellent shot of a wave crashing on the rocks. Isn’t this a great photograph? I think he has incredible potential, don’t you?!?!?

Sunrise – Leavenworth, Washington, USA

Sunrise - Leavenworth, Washington, USA

I captured this beautiful sunrise photograph this past weekend while we were at Leavenworth, Washington (USA).  I hope this photograph inspires everyone to get outside, explore and take pictures, no matter what skill level or camera equipment you have.  I did not take my camera equipment with me on this trip. Amazingly, I captured this photograph with an iPad – not too bad of a shot – especially since I had not had coffee yet!!!!  Isn’t this a beautiful view!?!?!

Pink Lily, Renton, WA, USA

Pink Lily, Renton, WA, USA

It has been so hot here in the Pacific Northwest, that I have been doing most of my photography early in the morning, or late in the evening. Recently, I was able to capture a close-up of this sweet lily which was open for just one morning! If you look close, you can see how the bees have already spread the pollen among the petals. Isn’t this a beautiful flower!?!?!
