Just a few days ago, we had a torrential rainstorm here locally. Because of the heavy rain, most of the nearby higher mountains got snow! But today was one of those rare beautiful sunny fall days in the Pacific Northwest – especially for the last day of summer. So very early this morning we jumped in the car, and drove up to Sunrise, Mt. Rainier, Washington (USA). We saw an elk (ignoring us) and Skip spotted a huge bear paw print in the mud (luckily no bears nearby!) We went for a small hike and came upon this incredible view of Sunrise Mt. Rainier. Isn’t this a breathtaking landscape!?!?
