Papanalahoa Point Shoreline, Maui, Hawaii, USA

Papanalahoa Point Shoreline, Maui, Hawaii, USA

Another great scenic road in Maui, Hawaii (USA), is Papanalahoa Point Shoreline heading towards the north/northeast of Maui. During one of our many stops, I captured this breathtaking landscape.  This is an absolutely beautiful drive, and although not quite as scary as the Road to Hana, it does have its moments of one lane roads and tight curves.  I closed my eyes many times –  thank goodness my husband is an awesome driver!!!  Isn’t this an amazing landscape!?!?!

Wave Crash – Road to Hana, Maui, USA

Wave Crash - Road to Hana, Maui, USA

If you ever travel to Maui, Hawaii, USA, please make time to travel The Road to Hana.  This is a winding, sometimes treacherous drive on the North to North East side of Maui. In spite of some difficult driving, this area is absolutely beautiful – I can’t wait to share some amazing photographs with you! This first photograph was taken at about milepost 32 near Waianapanapa State Park, known for its blow holes and natural stone arches.  This area is incredibly breathtaking with huge waves crashing everywhere.  Isn’t this an amazing landscape?!?!?

Mt. Rainier National Park is 369 square mile Washington state reserve southeast of Seattle. Sunrise (6,400 feet high) is the highest point in the park, reachable by vehicle. We drove our 1963 MGB up to Sunrise in July this year. We had to stop and take in the scenery and capture this photograph. Isn’t this a beautiful landscape!?!?

Sunset, Mount St. Helens, Washington, USA

I captured this great photo of Mount St. Helens, Washington USA at sunset!  When I took this picture, the wind was blowing and it was bitter cold – I could hardly move my fingers!!  My amazing husband helped anchor down my tripod to keep it from moving.  And at just the right moment, I was able to capture the light at the peak during the final seconds at sunset.  Isn’t this a beautiful landscape!?!?

Sunrise, Mt. Rainier, Washington – Up Close!

Sunrise, Mount Rainier, Washington, USA

Sunrise, Mt. Rainier, Washington, USA has an elevation of 6,400 feet, and is the highest point that can be reached by vehicles at Mount Rainier National Park.  We were fortunate to drive up, on a beautiful sunny day, just before the main highway was closed for the winter.  Although I was totally scared to death because I am afraid of heights, I held my breath and stood high on a stone wall with my trusty tripod.  Luckily my husband also held onto me tight so I wouldn’t fall!  I was able to catch this amazing shot. Isn’t this an incredible … Read more
