Gorge Creek Bridge, North Cascades Highway, Washington, USA

If you have been following my posts, you will remember that I am extremely afraid of heights!  Despite that, I try hard to persevere (while hanging onto Skip for balance of course!). While on the North Cascades Highway, in Washington, USA, there is an incredible bridge lookout across Gorge Creek. The bridge is an open (!!) steel arch with a steel deck about 181 feet long. Gorge Creek is directly 300 feet below!  In spite of my panic about this situation, I managed to walk to the center of the bridge. Skip gave me this great idea to sit down on the bridge while I was shooting (he didn’t tell me it was because I was shaking so much!). So I sat down on this crazy steel bridge and captured this beautiful landscape.  Isn’t this an amazing outlook!?!?!
