Grape Hyacinths, Washington, USA

These beautiful tiny flowers are called Grape Hyacinths and return every year in our rockery. They have a light fragrance and are one of the first bulb flowers to poke out each spring. In between rainstorms, I captured this great close-up – just a few inches away – but luckily it is still too early to worry about bees! Isn’t the color incredible!?!?!?!
